The former president's Family Member Receives Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete getting ready for major competition

This young athlete maintains considerable online following

The young golfer will have plenty of high-profile cheerleaders as she makes her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple golf courses and frequently matches against Kai.

"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she stated.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Just stay calm."

"He basically told me to compete and relax," she explained.

"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions in 2024 and holds position 461 in AJGA listings.

But she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with her mother.

"He is the best player in the world," the young golfer said.

"And he's a more impressive human being. He told me to go out there, relax, and go with whatever happens."

Kai will face several most prominent players in women's golf at the Annika, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Officials commented that her participation helps introduce golf to new audiences, especially reaching youth audiences.

Kai has a massive following and recently launched a personal clothing and lifestyle company.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
