This event led to the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

The incident – described by police as was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
